How much will my design and fitout cost?

How long will my fitout take?
First thing first. Before making any changes to a building or occupying a commercial premises, you may need to submit a Development Application (DA) or a Complying Development Certificate (CDC) with your local council. A DA or CDC is required for alterations and additions, some changes of use of premises, new buildings and all changes proposed to a building in a Conservation Area or a heritage-listed building. Approval time will vary from Council to Council but allow approximately 14 to 60 days.
Consideration must also be given to your Landlord and neighbouring tenants. Excessively noisy or disruptive activities may be restricted to out of office hours. Security and access to common areas may also be restricted during normal building operating hours. During fitout, base building services may be required to be shut down for relocation or commissioning, these activites are usually restricted to out of office hours.
